MEET BARBARA
Founder, designer, and creative strategist behind Riviera Design Studio.
I design visual experiences – created for business owners who are ready to reveal their full potential.
With a background in marketing and over ten years of experience in sales, design, and communication, I know how to build brands that not only look beautiful but also feel right. My approach combines aesthetics, strategy, and emotion. Because good design is not only perceived but also felt.
Where it all began
Riviera Design Studio was born out of a turning point. After years in marketing, I knew that working in a traditional corporate environment wasn't fulfilling for me. I wanted to put my creativity back at the center of my life, design more freely, and work with people who are passionate about their ideas.
In 2020, I founded my own studio, then under the name The Nook.
What began as a broad range of design services has grown and matured over the years. Today, five years later, Riviera Design Studio stands for my clear vision: calm, thoughtful design that shows personality and creates impact.
The new name combines my home in Lucerne with my Croatian roots - two Rivieras, one heart. A place where ideas take shape and design speaks its own language.
MY APPROACH
Good design comes from understanding.
I dive into your company, listen, recognize patterns, and translate them into a visual language that reflects you. It's never just about colors or fonts, but about how you are perceived and how that makes you feel. I believe in design that is clear, functional, and yet emotional. Design that empowers you, establishes structure, and builds trust—both internally and externally.
BETWEEN TWO WORLDS
I have always been curious about places, people, and the stories between them. This openness shapes not only my life, but also my work. I observe, discover, and record—often through the lens of a camera, as a sketch, or sometimes simply in my mind. This creates little moments that later find their way into my designs.
For me, travel is both inspiration and perspective. I love exploring new cities, hearing languages and soaking up the rhythm of other cultures. Nevertheless, Lucerne remains my anchor point: walks by the lake, a strong coffee and something sweet bring me back to the present moment. Water has always been my haven of peace, whether on Lake Lucerne or by the sea somewhere else in the world. This connection reminds me to stay in the flow: calm, but in motion.
I work remotely, but always with focus and passion. Wherever I am, good design is my guiding principle. Between calm and motion, consistency and change, what defines me emerges: a creative balance that is reflected in every project.
